Sharing the joy and tears in the eyes of those who receive a Bible in a rural church in China is an unexplainable experience. At one distribution recently our team members were overwhelmed with the warm and enthusiastic response given by the people who received Bibles. Following the celebration, the team mingled with their Chinese brothers and sisters in the courtyard. Many photos, smiles and hugs were exchanged. One of our team was surprised when a young member of the crowd began speaking in English and said, “I want you to meet my grandmother.” Several of the family had gathered around her with huge smiles. What an unexpected introduction when she announced that her grandmother was over 100 years old! We later inquired of the pastor concerning the dear elderly lady. He smiled and said she would be attending church the following Sunday, which was Easter! What an unbelievable privilege to witness this lady receive her first Bible!
