While celebrating the joy of observing the distribution of Bibles by the Chinese church on a Saturday afternoon, one of our team members was able to discover the special story of these hands. A mother’s heart always looks for ways to share something joyful with those she loves, especially a daughter.

Ordinarily the church leaders emphasize that there is only one Bible per person but this lady asked if it would be possible to get a Bible to give to her daughter. She was granted her request and during the benediction this photo was captured. By looking carefully at these hands, it is obvious that these hands have witnessed many stories over the years, both joyful as well as difficult. What a joy for our team member to witness the desire of this mother’s heart with a request granted that will eternally make a difference.
